What is Reverse Osmosis System?
Reverse osmosis is a membrane separation process in which feed water flows along the membrane surface under pressure. Purified water permeates the membrane and is collected, while the concentrated water, containing dissolved and undissolved material that does not flow through the membrane, is discharged to the drain.
The key requirements of Reverse Osmosis process are a membrane and water under a pressure. Other requirements include pre- filtration to remove suspended impurities and carbon to remove chlorine (damages the membrane).
Most membranes remove 90-99+ % of the dissolved impurities depending on the impurity and the composition of water.
When should I use Reverse Osmosis System?
- If your water source is a bore well.
- If your water is hard and salty.
- If you are located near an industrial belt or any contaminated source, your ground water must be having harmful chemicals such as heavy metals, nitrates, arsenic, fluorides which even in traces are harmful.
- If anyone is hypertensive or has heart disease or weak kidneys, low sodium and low hardness water is essential not to aggravate the symptoms.
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) works by filtering water through a semi-permeable membrane that won't allow most contaminants to pass through. They generally use a process called cross flow, which ensures that they are constantly cleaning themselves. The down-side to RO is that typically, it will only recover between 5% and 15% of the water entering the system, the rest is waste.
- DisinfeDisinfection of water.
- The process is entirely environmental friendly as it does not produce any chemicals or contaminants to the environments.
- The process is reliable and proven over time. It is very stable and the water quality is consistent over time.
- The unit uses very little power, only requirement is adequate static water pressure. For most residential situation, the system may be install in-line without any added equipments.
- Small size and has a lot of flexibility in where to install the unit.

Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC)à 2500/-
- In the Bathroom: Your soap and shampoo will lather better. Your hair and skin will feel noticeably cleaner, softer, and not as dry. And there will be no soap scum or mineral deposits to clean off sinks, showers, tubs and toilets.
- In the Laundry: Clothes will be softer, cleaner, whiter and brighter. Plus they will last longer. Using soft water and pure soap products increases the life of clothing, towels and liners up to 33%. Without hard water service issues, washing machines last longer, too.
- In the Kitchen: Dishes will clean up more easily, and be spot free, without the gray film glasses get when etched by mineral-laden water. Plus hands will feel softer and look better.
- Throughout the House: Water-using appliances will last longer and run better. Why? Because hot water heaters, washing machines and dishwashers used with hard water.
